Minster View is located right in the heart of York within easy walking distance of all the sights. It is next to Bootham Bar, one of the historic access points to the walled city, on Gillygate a well-known shopping street. It is in a conservation area only 2 minutes' walk from York Minster and the bustling city centre with its many places of interest, cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. The majority of the sights of York are available within a 5 - 15 minute walk.
Local shops such as the supermarket, chemist and a wide selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants are all available within a few yards of Minster View.

York mainline railway station, with national and local links via rail or coach and bus, is a short and inexpensive taxi ride away (or 15 minutes’ walk, via the city walls).
By car from the North take the A19 via Clifton to the town centre. From the South take the A1036 to the town centre, take the inner ring road (west) past the train station.
Minster View is just around the corner from Bootham Bar, near the York art gallery and Tourist Information office.
